This research is aimed at finding out the reason why the
networking ranges of females, one of social capitals, are not so
wide as males. For this purpose, those analyzed from women's
view are the structure and circumstances in which a networking
of collage life is formed, and then the ways women form and
maintain a networking with the networking structure and
    circumstances.
Interview is used as a research method for this study. 17
co-eds are interviewed who have experienced group activities in
    study or hobby.
The results of this study are as follows:
First, there is a difference between male and female in the
relationship among members who take part in a study group or a
circle, an important field in which the networking of collage life
is formed. And the difference is caused by male members'
serving in army. It is because female members should mix with
discharged students who are two to three years older after the
male students their own age enter into army. In the
circumstances, the relationship between an older male student and
a younger female student is subject to being misunderstood as
loving one owing to the custom of marriage which usually takes
place between an older male and a younger female. Such a
misunderstanding causes difficulties in females' forming of
networking. Females are , however, found to be making their
way through the situation with their own strategies, which
shows that there are strong desires among females for wide
    networking.
Second, the common means to maintain and intense networking
in college life is the entertainment culture, to which female
students are not exposed because of economic, social, and
cultural obstacles such as curfew for women. But women
students are also found to have making chances for solidarity
among females with their own entertainment culture, chatter,
through which they overcome the disadvantaged condition, or the
rare opportunity for networking. Their chatter common in their
daily life contributes to maintaining and reinforcing their ties. It's
because they are open to and care about others through the
    chatter.
Third, the findings show that the factors which influence on
the severance of females' networking are males' enlistment in
the army, females' entertainment culture out of the center of
their socializing, and people's eyes around females in the third or
fourth year. And one of the findings is that love is connected
strongly to women's networking in that while in love, females'
networking is formed centering around their male partners'
human relation. So, female's break-up with her lover is often
followed by breaking up with the networking shared by both of
them, which is different in male's case. But females' established
networking survives the break-up when they are firmly placed in
the networking. The possibile continuity of the networking is
especially more when their separation takes place from their male
lovers of the same age. Those findings are in line with the
results from the previous studies stating that the male-centered
human relationship in our society is based on the biased sex
culture which demand for women to keep chastity and silence.
