음악치료프로그램이 자폐성 장애아동의 모-아 애착증진에 미치는 효과

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of a music therapy program on the mother-child attachment behavior of children with autistic disorder. The subjects of this study consisted of 3 pairs of mother and autistic child. The children were aged 4. The intervention program consisted of music activity centered mother-child interactions. Music activities of 30 minutes each were designed and administered two times a week during two months to reach to a total of thirteen sessions. In order to ascertain the mother-child attachment behavior before and after participation of music activities, a pre/post test was undertaken using the Mother-child Attachment Behavior Scale developed by Im, Sook Bin(1997).
The results showed that the attachment behavior of the mother-child was significantly improved(p<.05). In addition, the scores for attachment behavior that demonstrated proximity, mutuality and affection increased significantly, although there was no significant change for those for synchrony (p<.05).
In conclusion, music therapy program is an effective intervention that promotes attachment between autistic children and their mothers.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 자폐성 아동의 모-아 애착 증진에 음악치료 프로그램이 어떠한 효과가 있는가를 알아본 것이었다. 연구의 대상은 자폐성 장애로 진단받은 만 4세의 남자 아동과 어머니 3쌍으로 구성되었다. 치료중재는 모-아간 상호작용이 중심이 된 음악활동들로 구성되었으며, 2달 동안 1주일에 30분간 2회씩 총 13회 세션을 진행하였다. 음악활동 참여 전, 후의 애착행동을 파악하기 위하여 임숙빈(1997)이 개발한 모-아 애착행동 측정표를 사용하여 사전-사후검사를 실시하였고 각 쌍별 애착 행동 변화를 매 3회 세션 마다 측정하여 변화 과정을 관찰하였다.
연구의 결과, 사전-사후 모-아간 애착행동에 유의미한 향상을 보인 것으로 나타났다(p<.05). 하위영역별 애착행동 점수를 살펴본 결과에서는 일치성 영역을 제외한 근접성, 상호성, 정감성 영역에서 유의미한 향상을 보인 것으로 나타났다(p<.05).
이러한 결과는 음악치료 프로그램이 자폐성 장애아동과 그들의 어머니간의 애착행동을 향상시키는데 기여할 수 있음을 보인 것이라 할 수 있다.
