This project investigates detail components of 'Children Leadership Inter-Personal Relationship program(4,5,6) focusing on social relationship, and by applying those, it is to verify 'Children Leadership Inter-Personal Relationship program's effect of social competence, improving Pro-social thought which are main components of Children social development.
Subjects were 70 Children of 5 years old who are doing practical application of 'Children Leadership Inter-Personal Relationship program' among 'The 7habits of highly Effective Young children' in S-Kindergarten.
The experimental group composed of 32 children's who would like to participate 'Children leadership Inter-personal relationship program' which is a part of 'Victory of Us' that focusing on social relationship among 'The 7habits of highly Effective Young children' education. And comparison group members-38 children who have similar background and environment of experimental group were selected by teachers in charge of each class,
Measuring Instruments of this study were ' Social Competence Test'(Yang, 1995) and Pro-social thought test(Lee,1995).
Data analysis were operated by SPSS 10.0 version using statistic program. Frequencies, percentages, means, standard deviation were calculated and did T-test to verify each figures
Results of study are as follows.
First, research question of "Could 'Children leadership Inter-personal relationship program' contribute increasing Children social competence?" showed significant effect more than that of comparison group who did not participate the program.
Second, research question of "Could 'Children leadership Inter-personal relationship program' increase Children pro-social thought?"
It leads positive answer by showing significant effect more than that of comparison group who did not participate the program.
Conclusions according to above results are as followings
First, Children's who got 'Children leadership Inter-personal relationship program' showed better increasing social competence than comparison group. This result would be suggestive for those who got 'Children leadership Inter-personal relationship program' in capable of being qualified leader who are to grown up with active and considerate characteristics that is point of 'The 7habits of highly Effective Young children'
Second, Children who got 'Children leadership Inter-personal relationship program' showed better increasing Pro-social thought. This result suggests that 'Children leadership Inter-personal relationship program' could handle situation more positively and be more considerate and finally could make good social relationship.
Significances of this study are as follows
This study improved sociality and leadership by applying those programs based on thought and personality rather than theory based education, in addition to this, it could contribute for applying Children leadership program by supplying opportunities that would proceed later.
And it also have significance verifying the single effect for social relationship development in view of Children relationship because it would have difficulties to have every concept of leadership program educations.
Finally, as localized study over Adults' leadership program, Collegian Leadership program, Youth leadership program had been done till now, this study has significance of those things applying for Children leadership program.
