The great demand for globalization and information era in the twenty-first century comprises the essential part of the knowledge-based society for creation of the values. In this society, the education for originality which can develop a novel and useful thought with the aid of knowledge and information is highly required. Therefore, the cultivation of originality cannot be too much emphasized since it is the root of development of a nation, a society, and an individual.
To conform to these needs of the current times, the objective of the seventh musical course is set forth to cultivation of the creative human beings. This can be achieved when each individual expands one's own aesthetic functionality and implements the musical creativeness by experiencing music. Cultivation of originality, which is the essential part of musical education, can be accomplished by the creative classes.
However, the current musical education fails to accomplish this goal due to its focus on entrance examinations. Moreover, it is very hard to draw active attention from students especially under insufficient educational conditions. Therefore, this study tries to provide the guidances for creative classes, which can be used in the actual musical class so as to overcome the practical difficulties of the current musical education and to cultivate the individual student's creativeness.
Prior to specific studies, we try to examine the philosophical conviction of the musical education and the justification on education of originality by studying Schiller's Aesthetic Education which is an aesthetic approach for the education of originality.
Moreover, we try to understand the current status of musical classes and to utilize them as the theoretical data by analyzing the creative sections of the musical textbooks for high-school, and to increase the applicable range of our study by providing the practical guidances. It is no doubt that the creative music classes in high school should focus on educating the originality where each student can learn the musical concept and therefore represent it in a much more unrestricted way. However, in a real situation, it is very difficult for the students to display their musical creativeness.
To overcome these difficulties and to provide more opportunities for the students to experience creative activities, we provide the courses of study for the high school students in their first year as the last course of the national standard curriculum.
It is therefore necessary to carry out the classes smoothly to maximize their effectiveness, where the theoretical background should be supported and the intellectual level of the students should be conceived beforehand. This study focuses on fostering self-confidence and internalizing the values of the creative classes in person by presenting the individual musical piece under the assumption that the fundamental concepts are understood previously. Moreover, the students can be encouraged to express themselves in a more active way by sharing the personal feelings about the creative course with others.
This study expects the growth of musical appreciation and originality as a result of continuous interest and participation in the creative classes. This study also expects to be a good example to be used in a real class by the incumbent teachers. It will surely be the cornerstone to upgrade the students' original insight with its efforts to activate the creative classes.
