미술교육과 창의력 신장을 위한 발상법에 관한 연구

국문 초록 (Abstract)

오늘날 미술교육의 과제는 아동의 잠재된 창의성을 적극적인 표현으로 끌어올릴 수 있도록 유도하는 것이다. 하지만 지금까지 우리 나라의 미술교육은 창의성을 표방하면서도 객관적인 평가를 위해 미술적 표현에 가치를 두는 모방과 개념화에 치중해 왔다. 우리는 이제 학생들의 잠재된 창의력을 자극하여 독창적인 표현이 이루어질 수 있도록 계획, 지도하고 이를 통해 학생들이 창작 활동의 기쁨과 자기만족을 느낄 수 있게 해 주어야 한다. 하지만 잠재된 창의성이란 환경에 의한 자극에 의해 단번에 표현되어 나타나는 것이 아니기에 지속적인 교육과 관심으로 그것을 끌어내기 위한 적합한 교육 프로그램이 다방면으로 개발되어야 한다.
따라서 본 연구는 학생의 잠재되어 있는 창의성과 상상력을 단계적인 발상을 통해 자연스럽게 자극함으로써 독창적인 표현으로 유도 할 수 있는 미술교육의 구체적인 방법을 제시하는데 초점을 두고 이를 효과적으로 지도할 수 있는 발상 지도법을 구상하고 계획하였다.
본 연구는 인간의 잠재된 상상력을 해방시키자고 주장한 초현실주의자들의 창의적인 작품의 감상과 그들의 아이디어 발상에 대한 이해를 통해 연구자가 개발하고 구성한 발상법으로 이를 교육 현장에 적용함으로써 학생들의 체계적인 창의적 표현력 신장을 유도하려 한다. 연구자가 구성하여 제시한 단계적 이미지 발상 지도는 크게 두 가지 과정을 거친다.
첫 번째는 초현실주의자들에 의해 확립된 오토마티즘(Automatisme) 을 응용한 기초 이미지 발상 과정으로써 게슈탈트(Gestalt)학파가 형태 심리학을 통해 제시한 이론인 전경과 배경 의 원리와 결합된 것이고, 두 번째는 미국의 창의적 발상법에 영향을 끼친 오스본(Alex F. Osborn)의 체크리스트(Checklist)법에 근거한 심화 발상의 과정으로 첫 번째의 발상 과정을 통해 선정된 이미지를 의도적인 여러 가지 사고과정을 거쳐 발전된 독립적인 형태로 완성시켜 가는 작업이다. 그리고 이러한 체계적인 발상 과정을 거쳐 개인의 창의력이 구체화될 수 있게 하여 구상 표현 정리 단계로 유도함으로써 초현실주의에 나타난 그림과 같은 개성이 강한 하나의 작품을 완성하게 하였다.
발상 지도의 방법에서는 기존에 소개된 창의적 발상 지도법의 몇 가지 유형을 정리하여 소개함으로써 다양한 지도 가능성을 발견하고자 하였으며 발상 지도의 과정에서는 창의적 발상을 위해 학생에게 적절한 환경과 조건을 만들어 주어야 하는 교사의 올바른 역할을 제시하였다. 또한 연구자가 제시한 단계적인 이미지 발상 지도법의 구체적인 교수-학습 지도안 모형을 작성하여 실제 수업에 적용하고 그 결과를 비교, 분석, 검토하여 일반화 시킬 수 있는 방안을 제시하였다.
본 연구는 연구자가 제시한 단계별 발상 지도법이 학생의 창의력을 계발하고 향상시키는데 효과가 있는지 여부를 알아보는데 목적을 두었는데, 결과적으로 학생들이 새로운 발상법의 제시에 대한 호기심으로 적극적으로 미술 활동에 참여하였으며 단계적인 발상법 지도를 통해 점차 창의적인 표현이 자연스럽게 표출되어 독창적인 자신만의 이미지를 창출해 감을 관찰 할 수 있었다.
이러한 연구를 통해 제시된 발상 지도법이 실질적인 교육 현장에 도움이 되고 나아가서 모방과 사실 재현에 치중해 있는 현 미술 교육의 단점을 극복하고 개성적인 시각을 통해 자신만의 독창적인 표현을 가능하게 하는 방향을 제시할 수 있기를 바란다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Today, the task of art education is to lead the childrens latent creativity into active expression. However, until now, our countrys art education have insisted on imitation and conceptualization, putting the value on artistical expression to evaluate objectively, while it claims to stand for creativity. Now, we should stimulate students latent creativity, plan and instruct for their original expression so that they may feel the gladness of creative activity and self-contentment. However, the education program suitable for bringing out the latent creativity should be invented in multiple aspects through continuous education and intention because the latent creativity would not be described and come into existence very easily by the stimulation of environment.
Therefore, this study focused on presenting the concrete method of art education that could lead into original expression by stimulating students latent creativity and imagination naturally through step-by-step conception, and mapped out and designed the conception instruction method to educate it effectively.
This study intends to lead the expansion of the students concrete and creative expression power by applying the conception method that the investigator has invented and organized into a education spot, basing on appreciation of surrealismists creative works and comprehension of their idea conception, who claimed to liberate humans latent imagination. The instruction of step by step image conception that the investigator have organized and suggested goes through two processes largely.
First, it is connected with the principle of foreground and background, theory that Gestalt sect presented through Gestalt Psychology as the process of basic image conception process applying Automatism established by the surrealismists, and second, it is the process of deepening conception based on Osborns(Alex F. Osborn) Checklist method that has influenced Americas creative conception method and it is the work perfecting the image chosen through first conception process as the independent pattern developed through intended thought process. And the work having such strong characteristic as the painting in the surrealism was made by concreting a persons creativity through that systemic conception process and leading into the plan express arrangement step.
I intended to find the possibility of several instruction by arranging and introducing a few types of creative conception instruction method introduced before, in the method of conception instruction and suggested teachers desirable role of preparing appropriate environment and condition for their students creative conception, in the process of conception instruction. And I presented the plan to build a model of the concrete instruction-learning leading program of step by step image instruction method suggested by the investor, apply it to real class and generalize the result by comparing, analysing, and reviewing it.
This study had a goal to ascertain whether the step by step conception instruction method suggested by a investigator effected to developing and promoting the students creativity, and as the result, the students anticipated the art activity actively with their curiosity in new conception method and observed that they created their original unique image while increasingly creative expression was displayed naturally through the instruction of step by step conception method.
I hope the conception instruction method suggested through such study is helpful in real education spot and further, recover the demerits of presenting the art education which sets importance on the imitation and representation of truth, enable to present the direction for their own original expression with their characteristic view.
