우울증과 자아정체감이 청소년의 자살 생각에 미치는 영향 = (The) Influences of Melancholia and Self-identity of Youths on the Contemplated Suicide of Youths

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구의 목적은 첫째, 우울증의 하위 영역인 외로움, 무력감, 무가치감과 청소년 자살 생각의 관련성을 살펴보고, 둘째, 청소년들의 자아정체감의 하위 영역들과 자살 생각의 관련성을 살펴보고, 셋째, 청소년들의 자살 생각에 영향을 끼치는 우울증과 자아정체감의 변인들을 순차적으로 분석하고자 하는데 있다.
본 연구의 대상은 서울에 소재한 3개의 고등학교 청소년 350명을 대상으로 실시하였으며 회수된 설문지는 331부였고, 그중에 불성실하게 응답한 19부를 제외한 312부를 분석에 사용하였다. 설문조사를 통해 수집된 설문지의 분석은 SPSS(Statistical Package for the Social Science) 11.5 에 의한 통계처리 방식을 이용하여 빈도분석, 상관분석, 회기분석, 삼원변량분석 등 사용되었다.
본 연구에서 나타난 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다.
1) 청소년의 자아정체감이 낮을수록 자살 생각이 많음을 알 수 있고, 우울증은 높을수록 자살생각이 높음을 알 수 있다.
2) 청소년의 학년, 성별, 종교에 따른 자살 생각의 차이는 성별, 학년에는 차이가 없고 종교별에만 청소년 자살 생각에 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다.
3) 청소년의 학년, 종교, 성별에 따른 우울증(무력감, 외로움, 무가치감)의 차이가 있는지를 조사한 결과 무력감의 경우 종교와 상호작용(학년과 종교)이 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났고, 외로움의 경우에는 종교와 상호작용(성별과 종교)이 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났고, 무가치감의 경우에도 종교와 상호작용(성별과 종교)이 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다.
4) 청소년의 학년, 종교, 성별에따른 자아정체감의 차이는 자아정체감의 하위영역인 안정성의 경우 종교와 성별, 상호작용(성별과 종교), (학년과 종교), (성별과 학년과 종교)이 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 다음으로 자아정체감의 하위영역인 목표지향성의 경우 학년과 종교, 상호작용(성별과 학년), (성별과 종교)이 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 독특성의 경우 상호작용(학년과 종교)이 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 역할기대 역시 상호작용(학년과 종교)이 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 수용성의 경우 학년과 종교, 상호작용(성별과 학년), (성별과 종교), (학년과 종교), (성별과 학년과 종교)이 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 주장성도 독특성과 같이 학년과 종교, 상호작용(성별과 학년), (성별과 종교), (학년과 종교), (성별과 학년과 종교)이 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 존재의식의 경우 종교와 상호작용(성별과 학년), (성별과 종교)이 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 대인관계의 경우 학년과 성별, 종교, 상호작용(성별과 학년), (성별과 종교)이 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다.
5) 자아정체감이 청소년 자살 생각에 미치는 영향은 자기존재의식, 수용성, 목표지향이 청소년 자살 생각에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 자기존재의식, 수용성, 목표지향은 청소년 자살 생각의 변량의 37.2%로 설명하였다. 청소년의 자살 생각에 자기존재의식이 가장 영향을 많이 미쳤고 그 다음이 수용성, 목표지향성의 순으로 나타났다.
6) 청소년의 자살 생각은 우울증, 자아정체감의 관계는 청소년 자살 생각은 안정성, 목표지향, 독특성, 수용성, 주장성, 존재의식, 대인관계가 자살 생각과 유의한 상관을 나타내고 있고, 자살 생각이 우울증관의 관계는 무력감, 외로움, 무가치감이 자살 생각과 유의한 상관을 나타내고 있다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This thesis pursues three purposes. First, it examines the connection between the contemplated suicide of youths and the subcategory of melancholia-loneliness, helplessness and feeling of worthlessness. Second, it looks into the relationship between the subcategories of self-identity of youths and the contemplated suicide of youths. Third, it analyzes, in order, the variables of melancholia and self-identity which affect the contemplated suicide of youths.
The subjects of this research was 350 students of three high schools in Seoul. Questionnaires collected were 331. 312 copies of the questionnaires were used for the analysis excluding the 19 copies which were responded carelessly. frequency analysis, correaltion analysis were used for the analysis of the questionnaires collected using the system of statistical arrangement by SPSS 11.5.
Major findings are as follows:
1) The lower self-identity of youths are, the more contemplated suicide of them is. The higher melancholia of youths is, the more contemplated suicide of them.
2) The differences of sexes and school years of youths do not affect the differences of contemplated suicide of youths. However, the differences of religions influence the differences of contemplated suicide of youths.
3) As a result of examining the differences of melancholia of youths (helplessness, loneliness, and feeling of worthlessness) of youths according to the differences of school years, sexes, and religions of youths, the writer of this thesis has found three important facts. First, helplessness has a statistically significant relationship with religions. Second, loneliness has a statistically considerable relationship with religions. Third, feeling of worthlessness has a statistically significant connection with religions as well.
4) After analyzing the differences of self-identity of youths according to the differences of school years, sexes, and religions of youths, several facts were gleaned. First, stability of youths, a subcategory of self-identity of youths has a statistically considerable relationship with religions and sexes of youths. Goal-directedness of youths, another subcategory of self-identity has a statistically significant connection with school years and religions of youths. Third, self-acceptance of youths has a statitically significant relationship with school years and religions of them. Forth, self-assertiveness of youths has a statistically significant connection with school years and religions of them as well. Fifth, sense of self has a statistically noticeable connection with religions of them. Finally, interpersonal relationships of youths have a statistically significant connection with school years and religions of them.!
5) After researching the influence of self-identity on the contemplated suicide of youths, this research has confirmed that sense of self, self-acceptance, and goal-directedness of youths affect the contemplated suicide of them. Sense of self, self-acceptance, and goal-directedness of youths has accounted for 37.2 % of the contemplated suicide of them. Sense of self was the most important element in affecting the contemplated suicide of youths. Self-acceptance was the next important one. Goal-directedness was the last one.
6) Considering the result of the relationship between self-identity and the contemplated suicide of youths, stability, goal-directedness, uniqueness, self-acceptance, self-assertiveness, sense of self, and interpersonal relationships of youths have affected significantly the contemplated suicide of youths. As a result of researching the relationship between melancholia and the contemplated suicide of youths, helplessness, loneliness and feeling of worthlessness of youths have influenced considerably the contemplated suicide of youths.
