영문초록: Although micropile has a lower lateral resistance due to its diameter than the large diameter pile, it has been widely used in field because it is useful in narrow space with small construction machine in order to reinforce old and new geotechnical structure. However, a few research for the bearing characteristics of micropile has been reported, even though the need of micropile applied by lateral loading and tensile force is increased. In this study, therefore, the four micropiles already installed in field and the eight micropiles for only this study were used to investigate the bearing characteristics of micropile after enough curing of grout. The compression, tensile and lateral loading tests were performed and compared with each other. As a result, compared the results by the compression tests with the results by tensile tests under the same loads, it is recognized that the displacement by tensile test is a little higher than the one by compression test. It is caused by length of high strength tendon, lower tensile strength of the grout and so on. Also, compared the lateral resistance capacity for lateral loading test of two fixed-head piles with the one of free-head pile, it is shown that the fixed-head has a higher lateral resistance capacity due to the increase of structural rigidity by concrete cap against the lateral loading
