경제관련 현장학습 중심의 사회과 경제개념 인식 : 진주지역 4학년 경제사례를 중심으로 = Social studies economy conception cognition centered on field survey related economy

국문 초록 (Abstract)

사회과 교육에서 경제교육은 경제관련 지식과 기능을 습득하고 경제문제와 관련된 의사결정 능력 향상을 목적으로 하고 있다. 따라서 경제개념을 지도하는데 있어 효과적인 경제교육 방법으로 현장학습을 들 수 있다.
최근 현장학습이 강조되는 것은 사회과 교육이 개인의 창의성을 키워주는 방향으로 가고 있기 때문이다. 경제교육에 있어서 학습 내용의 방향과 연결시켜 경제적 사고력과 경제활동의 적응력을 길러 줄 수 있도록 하는 교육이 필요하다. 그러므로 경제활동의 주체가 되는 사람을 바르게 길러 낼 수 있도록 아동들이 주체가 되는 다양한 현장학습이 요구되며, 주 5일제 근무로 현장학습의 기회가 확대됨에 따라 가족과 함께 학습할 기회도 많아지고 있기 때문에 체계적인 경제교육이 필요하다.
이에 본 연구의 목적을 달성하기 위하여 제시한 연구 내용은
첫째, 초등학교 4학년 사회과 교육과정에 나타난 경제영역의 기본개념에 대한 이해도를 높이기 위하여 경제관련 단원을 분석하고 현장학습이 가능한 영역을 추출하여 연간계획을 세워 추진하였다.
둘째, 진주지역의 지역성과 경제관련 현장학습활동에 대한 내용을 추출하고, 진주지역 사례를 중심으로 경제관련 현장학습 자료를 구안하였다.
셋째, 경제관련 현장학습 내용을 기준으로 한 교수·학습 모형을 적용한 수업을 전개한 후 경제개념의 인식정도를 분석하였다.
본 연구에서 4학년 사회과 교육과정에서 경제영역의 기본개념 중 현장학습으로 가능한 4개의 기본개념을 선정하여 학습하였다.
이와 같은 경제관련 현장학습을 중심으로 경제교육을 실시한 결과는
· 아동들이 생활하고 있는 우리지역의 산업단지와 시장을 현장학습을 함으로써 우리 고장의 지역성을 이해하는데 바람직하였으며,
· 물건을 생산하는 공장과 우리 생활과의 관계, 우리 고장 시장조사 등 경제활동 이해도 변화에서 본 연구가 바람직하였음을 알 수 있었고,
· 생산개념, 시장개념에 대한 이해가 정착되어 경제영역의 기본개념에 대한 지적인 변화 측면에서도 현장학습이 효과적이었음을 나타내 주었으며,
· 경제영역의 기본개념에 대한 인지적 변화는 개념 인식도에서 현장학습 후에 더 많은 개념이 인식되었음을 알 수 있었다.
본 연구를 통해서 얻은 결론은 다음과 같다.
첫째, 본 연구의 주제인 경제관련 현장학습 중심의 경제교육은 기존의 지식위주 교육의 틀을 벗어난 새로운 대안적 학습방안이다. 어릴 때부터 경제활동의 중요성을 일깨워 주었고, 삶의 질 개선을 위해서 경제교육은 꼭 필요하다는 인식을 갖게 되었다.
둘째, 진주지역 사례를 중심으로 경제관련 현장학습을 할 수 있는 자료를 구안하여 수업현장에 적용해본 결과 아동들의 경제개념과 경제활동에 대한 태도에 많은 변화를 가져왔다.
셋째, 경제관련 현장학습 내용을 기준으로 한 교수·학습 모형을 적용한 수업을 전개한 후 경제개념의 인식정도의 분석결과 경제교육의 중요한 개념인 소비, 소득분배, 생산, 시장 등에 대한 인식이 현저하게 향상되었다.
본 연구의 결과를 통하여 사회과 경제관련 현장학습은 기존의 경제교육이 가지는 문제점을 극복하는데 획기적인 방법이며 고장의 지역성과 경제활동의 중요성을 이해하고 경제영역의 기본개념 이해 및 미래사회의 자기직업에 대한 인식을 갖는데 큰 효과가 있었다. 따라서 경제교육이야 말로 경제활동을 직접 눈으로 관찰할 수 있는 현장학습이 강조되어야 학습의 효율성을 높일 수 있다고 본다.

In the Social Studies of education, economy education is aimed to obtain knowledges related economy and techniques, enhance the ability of economic problem related decision-making. Therefore, Field survey is considered as a efficient economy education method to instruct economy conception.
The reason that the Field survey is stressed recently is that Social Studies education concentrate on cultivating personal creativity. In the get-along economy education, it is necessary to be connected with the direction of education contents, bring up the economic thinking power and applicability of economic activity. Thus, a various Field survey managed by children themselves is required so that the children, who is the main body of economic activity, to be cultivated as a right person, thus there are getting more opportunity to participate in the Field survey with family members because 5 days work in a week gives more time to spend with family. So the economy education is necessary to plan systematically.
Hence, the presented contents of research to achieve a purpose of this research is followings.
First, according to the 4th grader social studies curriculum of to enhance the understanding economy conception in the region, this research was proceeded to analyze economy related units and abstracted the possible units by planning for a year.
Second, abstracted contents of Field survey activity related to the regional characteristics of Jinju area, and based on Jinju region examples, and embodied Field survey data related economy.
Third, focused on Field survey contents related economy, applicable teacher · learning models was demonstrated, and then analyzed the degree of economy cognition of economic conception.
In this research, graders studied by selecting applicable 4 fundamental conceptions related economy from 4th grade social studies curriculum.
Likewise, the results of economy education centered on Field survey related economy.
· It was idealistic to understand the regional characteristics where the children is living by Field survey to our own industrial complex and the market.
· It was idealistic to change our understanding of economic activity that is the relationship between manufacturing factory and our living life, our region's market survey and so on.
· It was effective for both understanding of productivity conception and market conception was settled, and the change of knowledge about fundamental conception of overall economy territory.
· The change of cognition about fundamental conception of economy territory showed that more conception was recognized after Field survey,
The conclusion from this research is following:
First, the main issue of this research, economy education centered on Field survey related economy was a new learning method out of the frame of current education centered on knowledge. From the beginning, the children get to be recognized the importance of economic activity, and the economy education is essential for improvement of living quality.
Second, Based on Jinju area examples, applicable materials were embodied for the Field survey related economy, the results of applied in the actual class, there were a lot of changes of the children's attitude to economy conception and economic activity.
Third, After class applied teacher·learning model based on the content of Field survey related economy was demonstrated, the results of analyzed the economy conception cognition showed significant development of cognition of the conception of production, consumption, income distribution, market which is a core conception of economy education.
Through the results of this research, social studies Field survey related economy is devoted to overcome the problem of the current economy education, and was greatly effective to understand the regional characteristics and the importance of economic activity, and possess the understanding of fundamental conception of economic territory and the cognition toward vocation in the future. Therefore, economy education is never to much to stress on the necessity as a tangible education that can directly observe the economy activity to enhance the educational efficiency.
