유아를 위한 동작요소 중심 동작교육 프로그램 개발을 위한 기초연구 = (A) Preliminary study to develop movement education program focused on movement elements for young children

This study includes a research about teachers' needs of Children's Gesture Education Program focused on Gestural Elements. The purpose of this study is to develop a tentative plan of Gesture Education Program focused on Gestural Elements that gives basic gestural experience to children as an annual program and apply the program to children in nursery facilities.
To achieve the purpose of this study, the contents of study are as follows:
First, research the level of recognition and needs on Gesture Education Program focused on Gestural Elements of kindergarten teachers.
Second, make out tentative plans of Gesture Education Program focused on Gestural Elements for children.
Third, apply the Gesture Education Program focused on Gestural Elements to children in children education facilities as an example.
The results of this study are as follows.
First, from the research on the level of needs of Gesture Education Program focused on Gestural Elements, the necessity was very high. When children take gestural action, there were difficulties of teachers' concrete indication related to gestural purpose. There was lack of information about selecting variety of medium that helps gestural expression.
Second, Gesture Education Program focused on Gestural Elements(tentative plan) is developed in relation to gestural elements in ten major concepts of living subjects suggested by the Ministry of Education. Each living subject has two activities, so twenty of gestural activities total were developed as an annual program.
The contents were organized based on the research of level of needs. The time required for each activity was less than thirty minutes. The number of people in a group was between eleven and twenty. The level of activity was classified Ⅰ, Ⅱ, common standards which was suggested by the Ministry of Education. Variety of medium that helps children's expression were composed to fit in the character of each activity subject. The purpose of activity was suggested for each lower level of gestural element, and the contents were composed for teachers' indication related to the activity purpose.
Third, six activities from tentative plan of the program were applied as an example to eighteen of five years old children in K kindergarten in the city Pusan. To see the effect of the program, I gave Children's Basic Motion Ability Test and Children's Creativity Test. The tests were given before and after applying the program to two groups that one is of eighteen children who participated in the program and the other is of seventeen children who didn't participate in the program.
As a result of Children's Basic Gesture Ability Test, I was able to see meaningful effects from group of children who the program was applied. Especially the result was meaningful in the pose of taking gestures. Also, in Children's Creativity Test, children who the program was applied showed meaningful results in their bodies and imagination of gestural expressions. These results verified the effectiveness of the program.
