The objective of the study is to find the role expectancy as the school counselor of the classroom teachers and the school counselors and to search students' demands in school counseling and suggesting a efficient school counseling activities.
For the purpose of it, 402 middle school from Kyong-gi Province were selected and made them reply a questionnaire, then used program spss 12.0 to analyze its findings. Collected data were analyzed through frequency and percentage analysis by area of each question and one-way repeated Anova, paired t-tests, Chi-Square tests were conducted to see differences in replies to the question. The Study items consist of sex, school year and degree of worrying, the number of intimate friends of the respondents, etc. The inquiry composed of 6 sections and 98 questions are used.
The major results of this study are as follows.
First, more than half of students had never had counseling experiences. But counseling experiences perceived students having that counseling was helpful for them.
Second, most students expect school counseling.
Third, as for students' expectation for the classroom teacher and school counselor is high. Students more expect the school counselor than the classroom teacher.
Fourth, activities that students want to talk about with the school counselor were helping school acceptances and variable group counseling.
Fifth, students more prefer the female school counselor than the male school counselor.
