It is very important for working adolescents to discover their true ego and overcome inferiority complex in achieving their life goals they pursue. It is also essential for them to maintain good human relations with others through bridging the gap between their subjective self and objective self, and create the best images for their careers in enhancing their self-esteem and living a desirable life at work.
The purposes of this study are:
First, to establish the concept of image-making.
Second, to verify the effectiveness of the recognition of working adolescents‘ true ego and the image-making program.
Third, to verify the influence of the image-making's efficacy on human relationship.
These are intended to provide fundamentals for the development of the image-making program for working adolescents.
The methods of the research for the study used are documentary and experimental. In documentary study are image-related theories and late adolescents-related theories and models while in experimental study is a participation of the researcher as an instructor in the field of education for working adolescents.
The target of the research is female workers currently employed in the production field in corporations (working adolescents of high-school graduates under 24). These people were divided into experimental and control groups for the verification of the effectiveness of the image-making program before and after its conduct. The image-making program consists of 4 subjects: enhancing first impression, overcoming inferiority complex, controlling facial expressions, and managing self appearance.
The tools used in this research are measures of self-esteem, inferiority complex, efficacy of image-making, true ego recognition, and human relationship. For data analysis, t inspection was conducted with the sub-program of SPSS 12.0. To study the influence of the efficacy of the image-making on the human relationship of working adolescents, the regression analysis was adopted. To verify efficacy of the image-making and the proper recognition of true ego, the structural equation model with Amos 4.0 was conducted.
