도시하천 고수부지 내 지피식물 자연학습장 조성 : 순천시 동천 고수부지를 중심으로 = Nature Study Planning at the Urban stream Bottom With Ground-Covers : With a Special Reference to Dongchun Stream in Sunchon

The goal of this study was for schools around Sunchon to utilize this observation or experience-program, which were suitable for the local society and the field learning's condition, to studying the nature. Students experiencing this observation program have the positive attitude and value for a nature, and that their behavior changed, Another goal of this study was the activation of a terrace land on the stream, the urban stream bottom, as a public open-space and the harmony of nature and artifical.
For this study, the entire space structure was composed for the observation or inspection of an ecosystem. The place for observation of ground cover plants which bring symbolical meaning into relief, was made all the space, Therefore, this space has special quality as habitat for biotope like birds or insects. Among the space of the entire urban stream bottom, there are 11% for facilities, 83% for a field learning, and 6% for a natural succession. On the basis of this space utilization, these plans such as an activity of introduction was shaped and space plan, tree planting plan, facilities-arrangement plan, and management operation plan were carried out, Through this study, the improvement of the abandoned space, the stream, through these processes will result in its high utilization and the creation of ecological environment will supplement a short place for the field learning and preserve the scene of the stream.
This plan for the urban stream-space was made, even better, on the basis of the conservation of nature and this ecological approach was accelerated under the consideration of distance and measure. But creation of a flower garden on urban stream bottom sometimes causes the formation of a standardized sort and troublesomeness of annual tree planting. As the stream have a difficulty for a safety as the place for tree planting because of its geographical condition, the steady study for ground cover plants was needed and it has to be suitable for the urban stream bottom.
