In order to achieve the purpose, the following questions were raised:
First, are there any differnces in the parental and peer attachment, trait anxiety, ego-identity, self-efficacy and career decision level according to gender?
Second, is there any relationship among the parental and peer attachment, trait anxiety, ego-identity, self-efficacy and career decision level?
Third, What are the most powerful predictor of career decision level of college students among Psychological Variables?
Fourth, What are the effects of the parental and peer attachment, trait anxiety, ego-identity, self-efficacy on career decision level according to gender?
The study was carried out on three hundreds fourty six (135 males and 211 females) from college students in Seoul and Kyoung-Gi do. For this study all of subjects was measured with the parental and peer attachment, trait anxiety, ego-identity, self-efficacy and career decision level scale.
The sampled data was analyzed by statistical method of frequency analysis, t-test, correlation coefficient and multiple regression analysis through SPSS 10.0.
The result of this study can be summarized as follows:
First, there were some differences in trait anxiety according to gender. It was shown that female students had higher trait anxiety than male student.
Second, there is a significant relationship between the maternal attachment, peer attachment and career decision level, but there is no significant relationship between the paternal attachment and career decision level.
Third, there is a significant relationship between trait anxiety and career decision level.
Fourth, ego-identity is the most powerful predictor of career decision level of college students among Psychological Variables. Without gender differences, ego-identity has a serious affect on career decision level.
Fifth, there is a significant relationship between self-efficacy and career decision level.
