척수장애인의 성 적응과 자기효능감에 관한 연구 : 사회적 지지의 조절효과를 중심으로 = (A) study on sexual adjustment and self-efficacy in people with spinal cord injuries : focused on moderating effects of social support

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 지속적으로 증가하고 있는 척수 장애인의 영역에 대한 사회복지적 개입에 그 목적을 가지고, 척수 장애인의 성 적응 정도가 자기효능감에 미치는 영향을 알아보고, 동시에 사회적 지지가 성 적응과 자기효능감의 관계에 미치는 조절효과의 분석을 통하여 척수 장애인의 자기효능감 강화를 위한 사회복지적 개입의 토대를 마련하고자 한다. 본 연구의 대상자는 총 134명으로, 만 20세 이상의 척수장애인으로 지역사회에서 생활을 하고 있는 사람들이다. 자료수집 방법은 자기기입식 설문방법을 사용하였으며, 조사는 2005년 5월 20일부터 6월 10일까지 실시되었다.주요 연구결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다.첫째, 척수장애인들의 성 적응 실태를 보면, 전체 척수장애인은 평균 2.35점으로 중간값(2.5점)과 비교할 때 낮은 수준의 성 적응 정도를 보이는 것으로 나타났다. 척수장애인들은 성에대한 부정적인 견해와 함께 높은 관심을 가지고는 있으나 만족하지 못하는 삶을 살고 있는 것으로 나타났다.둘째, 척수장애인들의 자기효능감 실태를 알아본 결과, 전체 척수장애인들의 자기효능감 수준은 평균 2.67점으로 중간값(2.5)과 비교할 때 중간보다 높은 수준이었다. 인구사회학적 특성 중 결혼경험이 있을수록, 종교가 기독교인 경우 자기효능감이 높았다. 척수손상관련 특성 중 불완전 마비인 경우에 자기효능감 수준이 높았다.셋째, 척수장애인들의 사회적 지지실태를 살펴보면, 조사결과 전체 사회적 지지평균은 2.77점으로 중간값(2.5)과 비교할 때 높은 수준의 사회적 지지를 받고 있다는 것을 알 수 있었다. 인구사회학적 특성에 따른 사회적지지 실태에서는 여성일수록 사회적 지지수준이 높고, 종교가 기독교일수록 사회적 지지수준이 높았다. 척수 손상관련 특성에서는 불완전 마비의 경우 사회적 지지가 높았다.넷째, 성 적응과 사회적 지지는 자기효능감과의 관계에서 유의미한 정적 상관관계를 가지는 것으로 나타났다.다섯째, 성 적응이 자기효능감에 영향을 미치는 관계에서 사회적지지의 조절효과를 조절회귀분석으로 검증한 결과, 성 적응의 하위차원 중, 성에 대한 부정적인 견해가 자기효능감에 영향을 미치는 관계에서 사회적 지지가 조절효과를 나타내는 것으로 분석되었다.본 연구결과를 통해 척수장애인의 자기효능감을 향상시킬 수 있는 사회복지적 개입방안을 살펴보면 다음과 같다.첫째, 성 적응이 자기효능감에 영향을 미친다는 연구결과는 장애인복지적 개입방향설정에 성 적응의 중요성을 의미하는 것으로, 척수 장애인 스스로가 자신의 ‘성’에 대하여 수용하고 인정할 수 있는 분위기를 조성할 수 있는 전문적이고 적극적인 개입이 필요하다.둘째, 사회적 지지가 자기효능감에 영향을 미친다는 연구결과는 자조집단의 형성의 중요성을 의미한다. 같은 척수장애인들의 지지집단은 척수 손상 후 현실을 이해하고 잘 적응할 수 있도록 하는 지름길일 것이며, 중요한 선택을 해야 하거나 어려운 상황에 직면하게 되었을 때 현명하게 대처할 수 있는 구체적이고 현실적인 방안을 제시할 수 있기 때문에 더욱 중요한지지 체계라 할 수 있을 것이다.셋째, 성 적응이 자기효능감에 영향을 미치는 관계에서의 부분적(성에대한 부정적 견해)인 사회적 지지의 조절은 ‘성’에 대한 이중적, 폐쇄적인 우리나라의 문화에 영향을 받은 것으로 ‘성’에 대한 전반적인 인식개선이 필요하다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study is to examine social welfare''s intervention for continuously increasing people with Spinal Cord Injuries, and to understand how sexual adjustment of people with Spinal Cord Injuries influences to self-efficacy, and concurrently to fine out moderating effect of relationship between sexual adjustment of people with Spinal Cord Injuries, self-efficacy and social support. From the result, this study will enhance social welfare''s intervention to strengthen self-efficacy of people with Spinal Cord Injuries.Subject was 134 people with Spinal Cord Injuries over 20 years old who had lived in communities. The data was collected by self- administrated survey method, from May 20 to Jun 10 in 2005.The major findings in this study are the following:First, the result of sexual adjustment of people with Spinal Cord Injuries was 2.35(of 5.00) in average, which can be regarded as relatively low, which show that spinal cord injury people have negative view about sex and don''t feel satisfaction if they have interests about sex.Second, in result of self-efficacy of people with Spinal Cord Injuries, the level of self-efficacy is 2.67(of 5.00) in average, which can be regarded as relatively higher than middle value. Among descriptive statistics, marital experience and christian religion influence self-efficacy highly. Among character of people with Spinal Cord Injuries, cases of imperfect paralysis have high level of self-efficacy.Third, in result of social support of people with Spinal Cord Injuries is 2.77(of 5.00) in average, which can be regarded fairly high. Among descriptive statistics, women and christian religion influence high social support. Among character of people with Spinal Cord Injuries, cases of imperfect paralysis have high level of social support.Forth, relationship between sexual adjustment, social support and self-efficacy provide significant positive correlation.Fifth, after analyzing moderating effect of social support in the result to examine the influence of sexual adjustment on self-efficacy, negative views in subordinate positions of sexual adjustment which influence self-efficacy provide moderating effect.Based on the findings, the implications in terms of the field of social work are the following.First, the result to examine the influence of sexual adjustment on self-efficacy reveals that intervention of sexual adjustment is important to establish social welfare policy of people with Spinal Cord Injuries. Therefore, professional and progressive interventions which people with Spinal Cord Injuries can accept and recognize about sex voluntarily are needed.Second, the result to examine the influence of social support on self-efficacy means the significance of self-help group''s formation. Groups of people with Spinal Cord Injuries which experience same feeling will help to understand the situations and to adjust the environment well and also indicate concrete and realistic direction to cope with difficult conditions wisely.Third, because partly social support''s Moderation in the relationship of influence between sexual adjustment and self-efficacy is influenced by social culture which is double and closed, general cognition''s improvement is needed.
