    This research is an overview on the integration and phenomenological features of Tamalpa Expressive Arts Therapy which has come to the fore as a treatment and an educational methodology for helping the development of ‘whole person.’ Tamalpa Expressive Arts Therapy absorbs philosophy, psychology, somatics, etc. as its theoretical backgrounds and makes integrative use of verbal and non-verbal expressions such as drawing and movement as specific ways of practice. Therefore, it is considered as a excellent model of integrative education facilitating the harmonious development of individual perception, emotion and physical levels and the social development through relations. Tamalpa Expressive Arts Therapy has its important features; it has been built as an individual study that has accepted constantly new philosophy from pedagogy and psychology in order to free itself from the analytic influence of psychoanalysis, a traditional psychotherapy, and, it has developed methodologies made by the practical tools extending personal experiences to meaningful phenomena in order to be free from analysis, lastly, it places our bodies and movement as the subject of the phenomenon in the center of the methodology. In this study, I examined the courses of new education in order, which made efforts to get out of the aspects of existential phenomenalism, humanism & Gestalt, Jungian psychology and intelligence-oriented education, in order to understand the development of multidisciplinary studies which is the foundation of the development of expressive arts therapy. And it is explained on what points our bodies and movement connect education and treatment phenomenologicalLy on the base of Tamalpa Movement Based Expressive Arts Therapy as a practical tool including all the aspects mentioned above.
