새터민 대학생의 적응에 스트레스 및 중재변인이 미치는 효과

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 남한사회 내 새터민 대학생의 대학생활 적응에 기여하는 중재요인을 알아보고자 하였다. 이에 새터민 대학생이 경험하는 대학생활스트레스와 문화적응스트레스가 대학생활적응과 갖는 관계성을 살펴보고, 낙관성, 사회적지지, 스트레스대처전략이 이 관계에 미치는 중재효과를 검증하였다. 서울시내 4개 대학에 재학 중인 46명의 새터민 대학생들이 설문에 참여했다. 분석 결과, 대학생활스트레스와 대학생활 적응수준과의 관계에서 정서완화적 대처전략의 미사용이 대학생활 적응수준을 높였다. 문화적응스트레스와 대학생활 적응수준과의 관계에서 낙관성, 문제 중심-사회적 지지추구 대처전략이 대학생활 적응수준을 높였다. 대학생활에서 경험하는 대학생활스트레스와 문화 적응스트레스는 질적으로 차이가 있음을 논의하였고, 각 스트레스를 효과적으로 다룰 수 있도록 하기 위한 함의를 논의하였다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The study aimed to examine the moderating effect of optimism, social support, stress coping strategy in the relationship between school adjustment and stresses. A sample of 46 undergraduates from North Korean completed a questionnaire composed of measurement scales for school adjustment, college life stresses, acculturative stresses, optimism, social support and stress coping strategies - emotion-focused, active problem solving, and seeking help from others. Results indicated that school adjustment was explained largely by acculturation stresses and stress coping strategies. Also, it was found that stress coping strategies played a moderating role in the relationship between school adjustment and acculturation stresses. Finally, the findings were discussed in relation to relevant theories and research, and their implications for cultural adjustment and limitations of the present study were suggested.
