지젝이라 불리는 공간 = The Void Called Zizek

국문 초록 (Abstract)

지젝이라는 공간은 인물이나 기표로 설명하거나 재현할 수 없는 빈 공간이다. 그것은 인물이라는 상상적 요소와 상징적 기표의 ``사이``이자 ``틈``이다. 바로 이 곳에 인물도 기표도 아닌 괴물 지젝이 산-죽음의 형태로 거주하고 있다. 기표가 낳았지만 기표가 통제할 수 없는 잉여물, 재현체계를 넘어서는 불가능한 대상이 바로 대상 소타자이다. 대상 소타자로서의 지젝은 라깡과 헤겔 ``사이``에 ``있다``. 그러나 이 공통부분은 양자를 모두 긍정하는 동시에 부정한다. 대타자의 결핍을 지시하는 라깡과 대립물의 일치로서의 절대지식을 주장하는 헤겔을 모두 긍정할 때 우리는 라깡과 헤겔의 내부적 분열, 다시 말해 둘 모두를 부정하게 되는 것이다. 라깡과 헤겔을 긍정하는 동시에 부정할 때, 라깡이자 헤겔인 동시에 라깡도 헤겔도 아닌 ``라깡-헤겔,`` 지젝이라는 괴물이 탄생한다. 실제 인물인 지젝과 지젝이라는 기표가 겹치는 공간 속에서 우리는 ``주체``로서의 지젝, 지젝이라는 빈 공간과 마주하게 된다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Zizek can be considered as a void that would be reducible neither to any kind of personality nor to a certain signifier. He may be looked upon as an ``in-between`` or a gap ambiguously located between an imaginary personality and the symbolic one of a signifier. Put another way, Zizek acts as the remainder which the signifiers produce but at the same time fail to master or as the objet a which is nothing other than an impossible object in and beyond the system of representation. This paper places its specific emphasis on Zizek as the objet a that haunts between Hegel and Lacan. According to Zizek, Lacan indexes the lack in the Other and Hegel thinks of the absolute knowledge as the reconciliation of the opposites; if we accept these two theses, we cannot fail to notice the internal division present both in Hegel and in Lacan. That is to say, Zizek not only embraces Hegel`s system and that of Lacan but also constantly put into questions an arguable totality or wholeness in each of their discourses, what may be called a ``Hegel-Lacan`` thus arising from Zizek`s simultaneous affirming and negating both Hegel and Lacan. A ``Hegel-Lacan`` amounts to a monster-like presence which is both Hegel and Lacan, and is neither Hegel nor Lacan. Eventually, one is confronted with Zizek as a subject in a space where Zizek as personality and Zizek as signifier overlap with each other.
