전문대학생의 학습동기와 대학적응 연구|RISS 상세보기

국문 초록 (Abstract)

전문대학생들의 기초 학력수준저하 및 졸업생들의 직업 능력 부족이 사회적 문제점으로 대두되고 있다. 주로 4년제 대학으로의 편입 준비에 몰두하거나 또는 수업에 적극적으로 참여하지 않고 방관적이거나 수업 자체를 따라가기 힘들어하는 학생들이 있어 교수자와 학습자 모두 어려움을 겪고 있다. 본 연구는 전문대학생들의 학습동기와 학교에서의 적응과의 관계를 알아보고 일반 대학생들과 비교해 봄으로서 전문대학생들의 학습동기를 높이고 대학 생활의 적응지도를 위한 기초 자료로 활용하는데 목적이 있다.
전문대학생들은 학업적 자기효능감과 대학의 적응정도와 유의미한 상관이 있었다. 4년제 대학과의 비교에서, 4년제 대학생이 전문대학생에 비해 학업적 자기효능감과 실패내성이 유의미하게 높았으나 하위 영역 중 감정은 전문대학생이 약간 더 높게 나타났다. 4년제 대학생들이 학교환경적응, 학교친구적응, 학교생활적응에서 높은 점수를 보인 반면, 전문대학생들은 학교 교사 적응, 학교 수업 적응에서 더 높았다. 고둥직업교육기관으로서 전문대학의 수업은 일반 4년제 대학과는 차별성을 가지는 것이 필요하며 일반대학생들과 다른 학습동기와 태도를 가지고 있는 만큼 이들의 동기 특성에 맞게 학생들의 학습동기를 높이기 위한 학교차원의 다양한 지원체제를 갖추는 것이 필요하다.

Recently, the college students' fall in academic ability and graduates' unqualified performance at work has risen as a social issue. Majority of college students are without motivation to focus in their college studies. Some students mainly focus in transferring to universities, other students are either absent-minded in studying or unable to keep up with the class materials. Through multidimensional comparisons with university students, the purpose of this study lies in raising the academic motivation of the college students, who have encountered numerous failures in their early years of education, and thus to enhance their adjustability in college. There were significant positive correlations between college students' academic self-efficacy and level of adjustment and between their failure tolerance and level of adjustment. In general, the university students appeared to be considerably higher in academic self-efficacy and failure tolerance, but the college students further excelled in the emotion category of failure tolerance. While the university students got high scores m school environment-related adjustment, school friends- related adjustment, and school life-related adjustment, the college students showed better scores in school teacher-related adjustment and school instruction-related adjustment. As a higher career educational institution, it is imperative that colleges differentiate themselves from general universities through multi-faceted support system in order to meet the student's unique needs and increase students' academic motivation.
