교원 연수의 새로운 모델과 서울대학교 교육연수원 = New Model of In-service Training of Teachers and In-service Training Center for Education in Seoul National University

국문 초록 (Abstract)

이 연구는 교원 연수의 새로운 모델에 대한 논의를 바탕으로 서울대학교 교육연수원이 지향해야 할 방향을 모색하는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 이를 위해서 먼저 교원 연수의 개념이 교사의 교과 또는 직무 능력 함양을 위한 교육이라는 의미에서 교사들을 대상으로 이루어지는 평생 교육이라는 개념으로 그 의미가 확대되고 있는 경향을 살펴보았다. 그리고 이를 바탕으로 미래지향적인 교사 연수 제도에 대해서 살펴보았다. 이 과정에서 교사의 자기 개발을 위해 교사 스스로가 선택하는 국외 연수와 같은 특별 연수와 전문적인 역량을 강화하기 위한 대학원 진학이나 자기 학습과 같은 연수가 활성화되고 장려되어야 함을 밝혔다. 아울러 새로운 시대의 교사 연수가 지향하고 있는 생애단계별 연수나 평생 교육으로서의 교사 연수 등은 자격 연수나 직무 연수보다는 특별연수나 자기 연수를 중심으로 추진되어야 한다는 점을 확인하였다. 이상과 같은 논의에 기초하여, 이 연구에서는 새로운 방향의 교사 연수를 지향하는 한국 사회의 요구에 부응하면서 국립법인으로 전환된 서울대학교의 필요와 요구에 걸맞는 서울대학교 교육연수원의 미래상을 세워야 함을 밝혔다. 또 교사 연수를 넘어 교육 전반에 걸치는 연수, 공공기관 관련 연수, 교육 전문가를 위한 연수 등 다양한 교육 관련 연수를 적극적으로 개발할 것을 제안하였다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study is to seek directions of Seoul National University s In-service Training Center for Education using discussions on the new model of teacher training. First in order to accomplish this goal, tendency toward expansion of the concept of teacher training, from mere training to foster teachers knowledge in the subject or administrative competency to lifelong education, was observed. Then, based on this observation, future-oriented teacher training system was examined. In the process, the need for revitalization and encouragement of special in-service training such as self-selecting overseas training for self-development of teachers and independent study such as pursuing a higher degree for enrichment of professional capacity is defined. Additionally, this paper confirms that the teacher training of the new era including in-service training by life cycle or teacher training as lifelong education, etc. should be promoted as special in-service training or self in-service training rather than as teacher qualification training or on-the-job training. Based on discussions mentioned above, this study defines the necessity to establish visions for In-service Training Center for Education of Seoul National University that satisfies the demands of Korean society which seeks new directions in teacher training and also that which fulfills the needs and demands of Seoul National University which was converted to national corporation. Going a step beyond teacher training, it also proposes the development of various kinds of training related to education such as training on education across-the-board, training related to public organizations and institutions, training for professional educators, etc.
