For this study, the questionnaire paper about separation anxiety, mother`s parenting behavior, and adaptation in daycare centers was distributed to 27 teachers and 325 mothers respectively to 9 daycare centers in the regions of Jeong-eup and Iksan. The questions of the study are as follows: (1) what is the general tendency of the mother`s separation anxiety? (2) How does the mother`s separation anxiety affect her parenting behavior? (3) How does the mother`s separation anxiety affect the child`s adaptation in the daycare center? (4) What relation has parenting behavior with the child`s adapration in the daycare center? The collected data was analyzed by descriptive statistics, correlation analysis, and regression analysis using the SPSS 12.0 program. The results are, firstly, the higher the mother`s separation anxiety, the greater their excessive and permissive patenting behavior, and teveals limit setting, tejective patenting behavior and neglecrive patenting behavior. Secondly, the higher the mother`s separation anxiety is the lower the pro-sociality of the child, his emotional stare, adaptation to peer-relations, ego stare, and adaptation to the daily toutine of the daycare center. Thirdly, limit setting by the mother has a positive effect on the pro-sociality of the child, his adaptation to peer-relation, ego stare, and adaptation to the daily toutine of the daycare center .
