The purpose of this study was to positively investigate the relations between gender role identity, self-esteem, department adaptation, career barrier and major satisfaction of male students in dance major. For the purpose of this study, 195 male university students in dance major were selected. Survey questionnaires was used as research tool. With the collected data, exploratory factor analysis, confirmatory factor analysis, correlation analysis and structure model analysis were performed through SPSS 18.0 and AMOS 21.0. The results of analysis were summarized as follows. First, gender role identity had an influence on self-esteem. Second, self-esteem had an influence on career barrier. Third, gender role identity had an influence on department adaptation. Fourth, gender role identity had an influence on career barrier. Fifth, self-esteem had an influence on department adaptation. Sixth, career barrier had an influence on major satisfaction. Seventh, department adaptation had an influence on major satisfaction. Eighth, self-esteem had an influence on major satisfaction.
