소득불평등 추이와 요인분해 = The Trend and Factor Analysis of Income Inequality

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This paper attempts to explore the trend and causes of economic inequality since the IMF crisis in Korea. The basic data used in analysis is KLIPS(Korean Labor & Income Panel Stuey) data of KLI(Korean Labor Institute). In the case of Korea, democratization attenuated economic inequality, whereas the neoliberal economic reform after the financial crisis significantly increased economic inequality. Though increasing economic inequality is now a common trend of the world, the rising inequality is different by the sources of income, educational background, sex, age, and spatial variation. The results are following that, first the Gini`s coefficient of labor income and real estate is increased, but decreased in financial iccome. Second, according to the educational background, coefficient in under a middle school and college graduate is increased. Third, in demographical inquality, woman householder`s income is more unequal than man householder. Finally, household income inequality in metropolitan city is more unequal than in which common city and province.
