부·모의 자율성 지지와 진로결정에의 몰입의 모형 검증:자기성장주도성과 환경에 대한 진로탐색행동 및 자신에 대한 진로탐색행동을 매개변인으로 = The Effect of Parental Autonomy Support in the College Students' Commitment to Career Choice: Mediated by Personal Growth Initiative and Career Exploration Behavior

This study examined the mediation role of personal growth initiative and career exploration behavior(environment and self) in the relationship between parental autonomy support and commitment to career choices. A total of 240 undergraduate students at two universities participated in the study. Structural equation modeling analyses provided support for the hypothesized mediating effects of personal growth initiative between parental autonomy support and career exploration behavior(environment and self) and of career exploration behavior(environment and self) between personal growth initiative and commitment to career choices. This study ends with the implications and limitations of the study as well as suggestions for future research.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 후기 청소년기에 해당하는 대학생 240명을 대상으로 부·모가 자녀의 자율성을 지지하는 정도와 진로결정에의 몰입 과정에서 자신의 성장 과정에 능동적으로 참여하고자 하는 동기인 자기성장주도성, 진로를 선택하거나 결정하기 위한 환경 및 자신에 대한 진로탐색행동의 매개효과를 구조방정식 모형을 통해 검증하였다. 그 결과 진로결정에의 몰입 과정에서 부·모의 자율성 지지와 환경 및 자신에 대한 진로탐색행동과의 관계에 있어 자기성장주도성이 완전매개변인으로 작용하는 것으로 나타났으며, 자기성장주도성과 진로결정에의 몰입과의 관계에서 환경 및 자신에 대한 진로탐색 행동이 완전매개변인으로 작용하는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 관계에 있어 모든 경로가 유의미하였으나, 자신에 대한 진로탐색행동에서 진로결정 몰입으로의 경로가 부적으로 나타나면서 가설과는 다른 결과를 보였다. 이와 같은 결과는 부·모의 자율성 지지가 후기 청소년의 환경 및 자신에 대한 진로탐색행동에 직접적으로 영향을 미치기 보다는 스스로 성장하고자 하는 내적 동기를 향상시켜 줌으로써 환경 및 자신에 대한 진로탐색행동에 영향을 미친다고 볼 수 있다. 또한 환경 및 자신에 대한 진로탐색행동이 진로결정몰입에 영향을 미치는 과정에서 환경에 대한 진로탐색행동과 자신에 대한 진로탐색행동이 다른 영향을 미칠 수 있음을 확인하였다. 이러한 연구 결과를 통해 진로 상담의 효과적인 개입에 대한 시사점과 본 연구의 제한점 및 후속 연구를 위한 제언에 대한 논의가 이루어졌다.
