한국과 일본의 금융교육 비교연구 = A Comparative Study On Financial Education Between Korea and Japan

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Around the year of 2008 Korea and Japan are strengthening or introducing the financial education through the reformation of national curriculum. The purpose of this study is to compare the nature and the focus of financial education curriculum in two countries through the analysis of the context of formation or reformation and comparison of national curriculum for financial education. The results of this study are as follows. Regarding the context of financial curriculum revision, Korea and Japan show somewhat different characteristics. Since the year of 2005 Japan was trying to strengthen the financial education in government and private sector together, but ended up as the passive introduction to national curriculum for financial education. On the Korean side financial education curriculum keeps the consistency between school level in spite of sudden introduction and shows the active linkage of financial life to the existing the set of theroy-oriented economic curriculum. Concerning the nature of financial education and the focus of financial curriculum Japan has the financial education of economic education perspective and the curriculum for financial education focuses on the basic level content area such as money and transaction. In the other side Korea has the financial education from the perspective of personal asset management and the contents of financial education focuses the more applied level content area such as financial planning and risk and awards.
