Booij (2010) aimed to establish a construction morphology dependent on construction, that is, pairings of form and meaning listed in the lexicon. For this, Booij (2010) focused on the incorporation of quasi-nouns, separable complex verbs, progressive constructions, phrasal names and numerals which are regarded as existing on the boundary of morphology and syntax. However, there are some problems to reconsider. In the first place, to deny the morpheme, which is excluded from the lists of construction, as a linguistic unit is open to debate. Above all, the concept of construction (in construction grammar), which was risen from the denial of demarcating the boundary of sub-components of grammar is incompatible with the concept of morphology, which deals with the internal structure of words. To resolve this contradiction, there is no room except that construction only denotes the morphological phenomena instead of concerning the abovementioned phenomena which exist on the boundaries. Meanwhile, Booij (2010) has deep significance in that the idea of construction using schema can be applied to the various phenomena of Korean, presenting the need for a comprehensive point of view contrary to the analytic tendency so far.
