교육과 예술 = Education and Art

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of present study is an attempt to interpret the relation between education and art. The discussion on the relation between education and art helps to clarify the meaning of art and education in a new point of view. Eisner`s theory of art and his argument on the Tyler`s technological theory of curriculum and instruction brings a new direction to the discussion on the relation between art and education. According to Oakeshott`s conception of art in his essay, The voice of Poetry in the Conversation of Mankind, art is not only related to education as a ``content``, but also ``the form`` (or ``the principle of procedure``) of educational activities as a whole. Maritain and Ortega y Gasset`s argument on the conception of art present a new light on the interpretation of the relation between art and education. Their different appraisals on the quality of Medieval art and modern art are due to their differrent emphasises on ``the personal aspect`` and ``the transcendental aspect`` of art, respectively. Tzu-kung(子貢) and Cofucius`(孔子) dialogue in the Book 1 of Analectic (論語) exemplify the beauty of educational relationship between teacher and his pupil which is embodied and manifested in the communication of subject-matter. The ``content`` and ``form``(or style) of their dialogue helps us to conceive education as the ``art of art``
