새로운 국어 교과서 개발의 방향 -중학교 "쓰기" 영역을 중심으로- = A New Direction for Developing Korean Textbook -Focused on ‘Writing’ for Middle School Student-

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본고에서는 국어교육의 궁극적 지향점을 국어로 표현·이해하는 능력을 기르는 국어적 사고력 신장 교육으로 보았다. 특히 쓰기는 창의적 사고 능력을 필요로 한다. 쓰기는 언어 및 시각적 자료나 기호 등을 활용한 창의적 사고의 표현 전달 활동인 것이다. 쓰기는 언어 및 시각적 자료나 기호를 활용한 창의적 사고의 표현 전달 활동이다. 창의적 사고 결과의 표현은 단지 문자 텍스트만으로 이루어지지는 않는다. 그보다는 오히려 다양한 기호와 그림 등을 동반한다. 마찬가지로 창의적 글쓰기는 단순히 문자 텍스트만으로 표현되는 것으로는 부족하다. 1~4차시기의 쓰기 교육과정 내용 요소는 대체로 글씨쓰기, 규칙과 관습, 갈래별 글쓰기가 중심이다. 그러나 5~7차시기에 들어서는 글쓰기의 인지적 과정(내용생성, 조직, 표현, 고쳐쓰기 등)에 상대적으로 더 비중을 두고 있고, 갈래별 글쓰기나 규칙과 관습은 비중이 줄어들고 있다. 이는 쓰기의 과정을 중심으로 하는 쓰기 기능과 전략 등 쓰기의 일반적인 원리를 강조한 데 기인한다. 특히 ‘독자 고려하기, 조정하기’와 같은 내용은 5차 교육과정 이래로 처음 포함되었다. 현행 7차 국어 교과서의 쓰기 영역이나 고등학교 <작문> 교과서는 그 어느 때보다도 학습자들의 실제 쓰기 능력을 신장시킬 수 있는 체제와 내용으로 이루어져 있다. 그럼에도 불구하고 읽기 영역과 쓰기 영역의 통합적 접근, 읽기 텍스트의 구조를 활용한 쓰기 활동, ICT와 매체를 활용한 쓰기 강조, 융통성 있는 단원 구성 체제, 국외 사례 참조 등을 제시하였다. 앞으로 쓰기 교육과정과 교과서에 대한 정밀 검토 작업을 통해 그 어느 때보다도 신선하고 효과적인 쓰기 및 작문 교과서가 개발될 수 있기를 기대한다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Writing skill is one of the most important skills for students not only for learning but also special jobs in near future. In this study, I tried to give a direction or some ideas regarding developing new textbooks focused on writing for middle school students. The ultimate purpose of Korean Language Education(hereafter KLE), in particular for writing, can be said as a creative thinking abilities. Writing is communicative activities not only when the writer composing his meaning but also the result, text, it self. Using ICT in KLE is to develop the method of teaching-learning, evaluation and contents. Using ICT in KLE means all activities to development the KLE systems including the contents, teaching-learning methods, assessment, through utilizing all kinds of ICT tools and systems. Ultimately the correct and effective use of ICT is based on the Multimedia Literacy and it`s up to thinking ability through language. At this time, especially Multimedia literacy plays an important role. We need to give more attention to the integration of writing and reading for textbooks and classes. It is very useful for teacher and students to use the text structure in writing classes, after the student read the text. I`d like to suggest the integration of ``reading and writing``, ‘media and writing`` and ``writing and other disciplines``, which can provide dynamic language-activities and methods for teacher and students.
