This Research investigated the issues of Horak debate occurred in the 18th century, in terms of the branch of Yulgok school. To this end, the theory of Weifa and the theory on the nature of human and things which is two main issues of the debate, were examined based on the Yulgok`s theory of principle and material force. Exponent of Horon, Han Wonjin argued that there are impure condition of kijil in the area of weifa and the Five constant virtues of Humans and things are different. As such, his opinion is based on Yulgok`s fundamental view of principle and material force. On the other hand, Exponent of Nakron, Yi Gan and Yi Jae criticized that Horon`s theory of Weifa was contrary to Mengzi`s theory of good human nature. It shows that the debate of Weifa is related to validity of the theory of good human nature. They separated pure original mind from physical mind and considered pure original mind as Weifa where is not impure condition of kijil. They also argued that the five constant virtues of humans and things are the same. But their opinion was out of Yulgok`s fundamental view of principle and material force. As a resurl, Horon deepened Yulgok`s fundamental position, whereas Nakron escaped from Yulgok`s fundamental position and pioneered new academic route. Therefore Horak debate arised to a branch of Yulgok school.
