경제 교과서에 나타난 비교우위 모형의 한계와 해결방안 -대안적 설명의 제안을 중심으로- = Theoretical Weakness of Explanation of Comparative Advantage in Economy Textbook for High School Students -focused on offer an alternative explanation

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The Economy textbook for high school students makes an extensive use of the Ricardian model in explaining comparative advantages and trade gains. While this model has the advantage of intuitive clarity, its inherent weakness is also obvious in that it only predicts an extreme form of specialization (i.e. perfect specialization) and thus can not explain the real world of trade in which perfect specialization is rather exceptional than universal. Furthermore it can not always succeed in demonstration of trade gains. Such theoretical weakness is not explicitly explained in the current economics textbook, which may have the potential risk of creating serious misunderstanding in classroom teaching, students` learning, and its evaluation. This paper examines the theoretical discrepancies of the Ricardian model and offers an alternative which could address these shortcomings.
