국문 초록 (Abstract)

이주홍 문학이 지닌 재미와 감동은 서사문학의 구조에 대한 깊은 성찰에서 비롯된다. 구조란 전체 안에서 구성 요소들이 유기적으로 맺고 있는 내적인 관계로 병행적 구조와 순차적 구조로 나눌 수 있다. 병행적 구조는 전체에서 부분으로 내려오는 하향 수직적 종적 구조이며 순차적 구조는 시간적으로 진행하는 횡적인 구조다. 이처럼 복합적 통일체인 문학구조에 대한 분석은 작품을 보다 명료하고 정확하게 이해하기 위한 바탕이 되며 완결된 미적 대상으로서 작품을 감상할 수 있는 근거를 마련해 준다.
그간 다양한 이주홍문학연구가 진행되었지만 향파문학의 근간이 되는 아동 소설의 구조에 대한 연구는 미비하였다. 본 연구는 구조의 두 이론 중 프롭에 의해 개척된 기능과 행위자에 의한 순차적 구조분석과 병행적 구조라고 볼 수 있는 구성유형, 플롯유형, 공간구조, 시점 등을 분석하여 향파 아동문학의 변모 양상, 한국아동문학에서의 위상을 살핌으로 이주홍문학이 가진 여러 의문점들을 탐색해 보고자 한다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Amusement and strong impression, which Lee Ju Hongs literature contains, are arisen from deep reflection for the structure of epic literature. A structure is the internal relation that the composing elements organically enter into within the whole. It is able to be classified into the parallel structure and the successive structure. The parallel structure is a vertical downward structure which descends from the whole to the parts. The successive structure is a horizontal structure which is proceeded temporally. In this manner, the analysis for literary structure, which is an unified organization, provides background for understanding a piece of work more accurately and clearly. And it supplies a basis that makes a piece of work be appreciated as a completed aesthetic subject.
In the meanwhile, various studies for Lee Ju Hongs literature have been come along. But studies for the structure of childrens novel which is the basis of Hwyang-pas literature(Hwyang-pa is his pen name) are not enough. This study intends to analyze the successive structure by a performer and function which has been developed by Propp between the two structure theories and construction types, plot types, space structure, a point of view and so on which are considered as the parallel structure. And this study intends to examine transforming aspects of Hwyang-pas childrens literature and the phase of Hwyang-pas literature from Korean childrens literature and quest various questions which Lee Ju Hongs literature involves.
