디지털 텍스트 읽기 능력과 디지털 텍스트 읽기 평가에 대한 일고찰 = Digital Text Reading Competence and Digital Text Reading Assessment－A Review and Discussion－

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Considering current digital technology needs a certain level of digital literacy, especially digital text reading competence, for both this generation and the next generation, this study aimed to provide an educational implication by reviewing existing research/projects on digital text reading competence. Also, focusing on the OECD Digital Reading Assessment (DRA) and Online Reading Comprehension Assessment (ORCA) of the University of Connecticut, this study closely examined the framework and the method of implementation of the digital text reading assessments and then tried to provide suggestions for improving the validity and reliability of the assessments. Implication based on this analysis was followed at the end of the study focusing on the necessity of the development of a thread of the curriculum for digital text reading competence, the preparation for a digital text reading assessment, and follow-up studies.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

디지털 기술의 발달로 인해 디지털 텍스트 읽기 능력의 중요성과 교육적 필요성이 현안으로 대두됨에 따라 이 연구에서는 선행 연구를 검토하여 디지털 텍스트 읽기 능력의 하위 요소를 검토한 뒤 읽기교육의 내용으로 새롭게 추가해야 할 요소들을 제시하고자 하였다. 또한 디지털 텍스트 읽기 능력을 평가하기 위해 개발된 기존 평가도구의 특징을 살펴보고 타당도와 신뢰도를 제고하기 위해 개선해야 할 부분들을 점검하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 OECD의 디지털 읽기 평가(Digital Reading Assessment)와 코네티컷 대학의 온라인 읽기 이해 평가(Online Reading Comprehension Assessment)의 평가틀과 평가 방식을 중심으로 디지털 텍스트 읽기 능력을 구성하는 하위 요소와 평가 시행 방식을 분석하였다. 분석 결과를 토대로 본고의 마지막 부분에서는 디지털 텍스트 읽기 능력과 관련된 후속 연구의 필요성과 구체적인 연구 방향을 제언하였다.
