세종 구문분석 말뭉치의 구축과 통사 범주 및 기능의 통계적 분포 = Sejong Korean Treebank: Methods of Construction and Distribution of Syntactic Categories and Functions

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This paper aims to introduce methods in constructing Sejong Korean Treebank (Parsed Corpus) and to provide some syntactic distribution based on the corpus. Sejong Korean Treebank is the largest (c. 800,000 words) among Korean Treebanks ever constructed and it is based on the representativeness of text types and sentence complexities. Sejong Treebank is open to Korean academia, education and industry. Although it is useful to do research on Korean based on corpora, few researchers have used Korean Treebank. Some of those few who used Korean Treebank were misguided in providing statistical data due to their misunderstanding about how the corpus was constructed. To make the correct use of Korean Treebank, it is a prerequisite to fully aware of the construction method for the corpus. This paper will help those who want to fully understand the corpus. It also gives an outline of the distribution of syntactic structures in Korean.
