유아 기질 척도(CBQ)의 타당화를 위한 기초 연구 = Validation Study for CBQ Scale with Korean Children

국문 초록 (Abstract)

연구에서는 우리나라 3~7세 유아의 기질 측정을 위하여 CBQ의 타당화를 검토하였다. 이를 위하여 만 3세에서 7세까지의 유아 총 341명의 부모를 대상으로 설문자료를 수집하였다. CBQ의 15개 하위영역에 대한 신뢰도를 검토한 결과, Cronbach α값은 .60~.84로 적절하였다. 탐색적 요인분석을 통하여 55개의 CBQ 하위영역으로부터 외향성, 부정적 정서 및 주의통제의 3요인을 추출하였다. 확인적 요인분석에서는 척도의 이론적 구조와 탐색적 요인분석 결과를 바탕으로 모델의 적합도를 살펴보았다. 연구결과, 우리나라 유아의 경우에도 외국과 유사한 기질 측정군조를 갖는 것으로 나타났다. 유아의 성별과 연령에 따른 기질의 발달적 특성이 나타났으며, 영역별 기질 점수의 비교를 통하여 한국 유아의 기질 발달의 문화적 차이에 대하며 논의하였다. 본 연구를 기초로 기질의 개념과 척도개발이 지속적으로 이루어져야 할 것이며, 우리나라 유아의 기질 특성을 이해하기 위한 체계적인 연구의 필요성이 제기되었다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this paper is to investigate the measurement structure of the Children's Behavior Questionnaire (CBQ). For this purpose, data were collected from the parents of 341 children (178 boys and 163 girls) in Korea. In the reliability analyses for each 15 subscales, Cronbach α's for CBQ subscales ranged from .60 to .83. The results from EFA identified the three dimension of CBQ: Extraversion/Surgency, Negative Affectivity, and Effortful Control. CFA was performed to compare the simple measurement model with the complex measurement model based on EFA. The results from CFA supported the complex measurement model. Age and sex differences in temperament scale indicate cross-cultural differences in the temperament characteristics of children. Further studies are needed to develop valid constructs of child temperament and to examine the measurement structure of a temperament scale with psychometric approaches.
