제 6 차 유치원 교육과정의 지역화에 관한 연구 = A Study on the Localization of the sixth National Kindergarten Curriculum

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 국가수준의 제 6차 유치원 교육과정을 기초로 하여 시·도교육청에서 「유치원 교육과정 편성·운영지침」을 어떻게 지역화하여 편성하였는지를 알아보기 위하여 연구되었다. 이러한 목적을 위해 16개 시·도교육청 유치원 교육과정 편성·운영 지침에 나타난 목표 및 강조점, 편성 체계의 지역화 정도, 영역별 교육내용의 지역화 정도, 개발절차를 비교 분석하였다. 그 결과, 각 시·도교육청에서는 지역의 특성을 살리기 위한 지역화의 노력을 상당히 기울였으나, 구체적 내용에 있어서 지역의 특성을 충분히 반영하였다고 보기는 어려웠다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study analyzes localization of the National Kindergarten curriculum as drafted and executed in the Office of Education of seven metropolitan cities and nine provinces. The components studied are the characteristics of the site based curriculum, the details and the decision-making process used for the sixteen site-based curricula in Korea. Findings are: First, each Office of Education tried to outline specific and unique features of their respective provinces. But there were few differences among the sixteen site-based curricula. Creativity is commonly emphasized as the purpose or need in most provinces. Second, as they are based on the guideline of the Department of Education, all of the site-based curricula of the sixteen provinces are well conceived. Third, though the process of the compilations is rational and valid, more participation of kindergarten teacher is needed.
