유아의 자기효능감에 대한 인과모형 탐색-사회경제적 지위, 어머니의 교육신념과 양육에 대한 자기효능감, 양육행동의 영향을 중심으로 = The effects of mother-related factors on the self-efficacy of young children

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 12개의 유아교육기관에 다니는 198명의 유아와 그들의 어머니를 대상으로 하여 가정환경적 요인, 어머니의 인지적 요인과 행동적 요인이 유아의 자기효능감에 미치는 영향을 밝히고자 하였다. 연구 결과, 사회경제적 지위와 교육신념은 양육에 대한 자기효능감에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 양육에 대한 어머니의 자기효능감과 성숙주의 교육신념은 유아의 인지적 · 정서적 자기효능감에 직접적인 영향을 미치는 반면, 사회경제적 지위와 교육신념은 양육에 대한 자기효능감을 통해 간접적인 영향이 나타났다. 어머니의 양육행동에서 온정적 양육행동은 유아의 자기효능감에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study investigates causal relationships between the efficacy of young children and certain mother-related factors identified as socioeconomic status, maternal belief systems, child rearing self-efficacy, and child rearing behaviors. The study's subjects were 198 young children and their mothers who were involved in a child care program. Data were analyzed by covariance structure analysis using EQS. The results indicate that a mother's self-efficacy and child-rearing behavior are directly related to her young child's self-efficacy. In particular, a mother's self-efficacy is related to her child's cognitive and emotional self-efficacy. By the same token, a mother's own self-efficacy is related to her socioeconomic status and maternal belief system which, in turn, relates to her child's self-efficacy. In addition, the study also finds that child rearing behaviors correlate highly with children's self-efficacy. Of these, 'Warmth', especially, has a high positive correlation.
