유아교육기관의 도덕교육 실태에 관한 연구 = The State of Moral Education in Early Childhood Education Centers in Korea

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 유아교사들의 유아교육기관에서의 도덕교육의 필요성에 대한 인식과 도덕교육내용 및 지도방법에 대한 필요성 인식도와 수행정도를 비교 · 분석하고자 하였다. 연구대상은 현직 유아교사 316명이었으며 연구도구로는 연구자들이 제작한 질문지가 사용되었다. 수집된 자료는 빈도와 백분율, 일원분산분석의 통계방법에 의해 분석되었으며 그 결과는 다음과 같다; 1) 유아교사들은 유아교육기관에서의 도덕교육은 당연히 실시해야 하는 것으로 인식하고 있으며 유아 도덕교육이 이루어지지 않는 가장 큰 원인으로 부모의 양육태도를 지적하였다. 또한 가장 교육이 안된 것으로 인식하는 내용은 타인입장 존중하기로 나타났다. 2) 유아교사들의 도덕교육내용에 대한 필요성 인식정도와 수행정도는 일치되고 있지 않으며 관련변인에 따라 유의한 차이를 나타냈다. 3) 유아교사들이 도덕교육내용에 따라 사용하는 교수전략과 적합하다고 생각하는 교수전략 간에도 차이가 나타났다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study was to examine the recognition of the need for moral education for young children in early childhood education centers and to analyze the differences between the recognition of the actual practice and performance in order to address problems in the current state of affairs. The subjects were 316 teachers from early childhood education centers in Korea. They were surveyed through a questionnaire produced by the researchers. The collected data was analyzed with the frequency, percent and ANOVA by SAS program. The results were as follows : 1) The teachers strongly recognized the necessity for moral education in early childhood centers and pointed to parental rearing attitudes as being the greatest negative factor operating against teaching moral behavior. 2) The teachers picked "respect for others" not only as the most important moral education content but also as the least taught among the 18 moral education contents practiced and taught in early childhood education. 3) Significant differences existed between the recognition of the necessity for moral education and the actual practice of the moral activities based on the contents for moral education. Also there were differences between the teaching strategies which were being used and the recognition of the proper teaching strategies according to each of the contents of moral education to be practiced.
