유치원 운영위원회 실태 및 개선 방안 = A Study on Current Status and Recommendations of the Kindergarten Council

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study was to identify the current condition and results of Kindergarten Council. The study conducted online questionnaires, distributing to 147 experts in education fields, 520 directors, 1,812 staff, and 936 parents of kindergartens across the country. The questionnaires were to examine the actual condition and their perceptions of the kindergarten Council. The collected dat a were processed so as to analyze frequency and to test the significance of differences through Chi-square test with SPSS 12.0 for Windows. The results were as follows. Almost pubic independent kindergarten had been operating the Kindergarten Council. On the other hand, public kindergartens annexed elementary school and private kindergartens were not operating only about half. The main task of the Kindergarten Council, curriculum consultation showed the highest, followed by deliberation for full-day programs, parents the burden of expenses, the food services. On the basis of these responses, further improvements of Kindergarten Council were suggested.
