The purposes of this study are 1) to identify the difference in psychological well-being, major adjustment, career decision level and religious activities between grades, 2) to investigate which factor among major adjustment, career decision level and religious activities would be more important to psychological well-being. The participants of this study were 273 pre-service early childhood teachers of college students, including 139 freshmen and 134 sophomores. To obtain the data, major adjustment test, career decision level test, and religious activity test were used. Analysis of variance, multivariate analysis of variance and multiple regression analysis were conducted to answer the research questions. The results of this study are as follows: First, psychological well-being was not found the differences by grades. However, the differences were found in one subscales of psychological well-being: positive relations with the others. Also, psychological well-being was not found different in religious(christian/nonchristian) activities. However, the differences were found in two subscales of psychological well-being: propose in life, and personal growth. Second, major adjustment, career decision level and religious activities were not found different in grades. Third, the result of standard regression analysis showed that career decision level and major adjustment were the most important variables for the psychological well-being. These results indicated that it is necessary to consider career decision level and major adjustment as the most important variables for the psychological well-being. Programs for increasing psychological well-being in college students should be proposed in future.
