외국인정책에 대한 인식의 영향요인 -서울시민을 대상으로- = Attitude towards Policy for Foreigners: From Perception of Tax Payers in the Seoul Metropolitan City

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

A rapid influx of foreigners and an increase in policy measures for them make perception of tax payers toward policy for foreigners crucial. Along with the changing reality, the objective of this study is to identify antecedents which influence the perception. In order to do so, a theoretical model consisting of demographic backgrounds, socio-economic status, subjective evaluation of economic conditions and social ideology is constructed and confirmed its empirical validity, applying a hierarchical regression analysis. In doing so, survey from general public of the Seoul Metropolitan City was conducted. Findings show that social ideology is the strongest factor for perception of policy for foreigners; in detail, egalitarianism is the most influential factors, and social domination and humanitarianism follow consequentially. In addition, optimism of personal economic conditions, age and income have moderate impact on the perception. Their implications for the direction and contents of multicultural policy are discussed.
