연금제도 성숙시점에서의 노인빈곤율 추정과 국민연금의 빈곤개선효과 = A study on improvement in poverty rate of National Pension in Korea

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study analyzes old-age poverty rate and the improvement of poverty at public pension adulthood, focusing on lifetime income, a recode of contribution, acceptance of National pension. Data come from Korean Labor and Income Panel Study(KLIPS), 1st~12th. The main results of this research are summarized at two viewpoints as followings: firstly, at average income viewpoint during lifetime, National Pension had the effect on anti-poverty rate because of improvement of the aged income. we analyzed that the decrease of poverty rate was found in women than men, and more elder. Secondly, at the stage of mature of National Pension, poverty rate decreased over time. we found that the decrease of poverty rate existed higher in women than men and the old over 70. This means that anti-poverty rate increased over time and especially in an elderly population of more than 20 percent. Finding from this study suggest that the effect of the anti-poverty and improvement of poverty will be continuously for the next few years. Therefore, further studies evaluating the effect of National Pension at adulthood stage(maturity period) are necessary.
