대학생의 조절 초점이 자기 고양 편향과 자기 고양 전략에 미치는 영향 = The effect of regulatory focus on the self-enhancement bias and self-enhancement strategy of college students

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 후기 청소년인 대학생이 조절 초점에 따라 자기고양편향과 자기고양전략이 어떻게 달라지는지 살펴보아 대학생의 건강한 자기 고양 전략을 알아보고자 하는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 대학생 213명을 대상으로 설문 조사를 하여 상관분석과 중다회귀분석을 실시하였다. 연구 결과 첫째, 예방초점은 자기고양 편향과 유의미한 관련은 없지만, 향상초점은 자기고양 편향과 정적 상관을 나타냄을 발견하였다. 둘째, 예방초점은 자기 고양 전략의 하위요인 중 호의적 이해 전략을 부적으로 예언하고, 향상초점은 자기 고양 전략의 하위요인 중 긍정적 피드백 추구 전략, 호의적 이해 전략, 긍정적 자기 확인 전략을 정적으로 예언하는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구는 자기 고양 편향과 자기 고양 전략에 영향을 미치는 조절 초점의 특징을 파악하여 대학생의 긍정적인 자기 고양 전략을 모색할 수 있다는 데 그 의의가 있다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of regulatory focus on the self-enhancement bias and self-enhancement strategy. The data analyzed in this study was 213 college and university students in Korea.
The research findings were as follow. First, prevention focus has no statistically significant relation with self-enhancement bias but promotion focus has statistically significant positive correlation with self-enhancement bias.
Second, prevention focus has a negative impact on favorable constrauls which is one of the self-enhancement strategies. promotion focus has a positive impact on the following three strategies, positivity embracement, favorable constrauls, and self-affirming reflections.
This study was supposed to have academic significance in exploring positive self-enhancement strategies through investigating the effect of regulatory focus on the self-enhancement bias and self-enhancement strategy.
