서번트 리더십이 부하직원의 리더신뢰에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 = A Study on the Influence of Servant Leadership on Employees’ Trust on the Leader - Focusing on the Leader Trust in the Historical Context of Servant Leadership -

국문 초록 (Abstract)

신뢰가 핵심인 지식경제 사회에서 서번트 리더십의 경영철학과 실천이 부각되고 있다. 선진 기업경영 현장과 리더십 연구자들은 서번트 리더십(Servant Leadership)이 조직 구성원들의 잠재력을 집결시켜 조직성과를 과거의 몇 배로 창출해낼 수 있다고 믿는다. 그러나 국내에서는 서번트 리더십의 기업조직 적용과 연구가 아직 미흡하여 실증연구가 매우 필요한 시점이며, 서번트 리더십의 역사적 추세도 점검해볼 필요성이 있다. 본 연구에서 서번트 리더십이 부하직원의 리더신뢰에 미치는 영향을 분석한 결과, 서번트 리더십의 4개 하위차원(청지기정신, 성장지원, 공동체형성, 비전제시)이 모두 리더 신뢰에 유의한 영향을 미치고 있었다. 특히 청지기정신은 리더신뢰에 가장 높은 영향력 을 보여주고 있는데 자신의 직속상사가 청지기정신이 있는 경우 리더에 대한 신뢰가 증가되는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 직속상사가 성장을 지원할수록, 공동체형성에 노력할수록 또한 비전을 제시할수록 부하직원의 리더에 대한 신뢰가 증가하는 것을 알 수 있었다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Servant Leadership’s management philosophy and practice are gaining interest in the current knowledge economy where trust is considered as the key element. Advanced corporate management field and leadership gurus believe that servant leadership can concentrate its employees’ potentials and create far better results for the corporation than the past. But applied cases of servant leadership in Korean corporate culture are few to be found and its study insufficient, and calls for more empirical studies to be done. In this study the influence of servant leadership on the leader trust of employees was analyzed. The result was that 4 sub-factors of servant leadership (stewardship, commitment to growth, community building, foresight) have positively-related(+) effects on leader trust. Stewardship had the most significant influence on leader trust which increased when stewardship was recognized in the immediate superior. As the immediate superior committed more to the employee’s growth, and endeavored to build community in the organization, the employee’s trust on the leader was confirmed to increase as well.
