발달장애 대학생의 직업전환을 위한 진로태도 분석 = The Analysis of Career Aptitudes for Vocational Transition among College Students with Developmental Disabilities

The purpose of this study was to analyse of career aptitudes for vocational transition among college students diagnosed with developmental disabilities(DD) and to provide basic information needed to develop successful vocational readiness programs appropriate for them. For this purpose, 43 students with DD who were enrolled in a four-year university participated in this survey study. The survey used a questionnaire comprised of 47 items and included interviews later. A descriptive statistics and t-tests approaches were used to investigate the general information and the difference of the career awareness between groups. The results may be summarized as follows. First, high grade students show better awareness of career than low grade students through the classification of a school year of college students with DD. Second, not-included class students were higher in the career awareness than included class students through whether college students with DD were included or not. Third, the distinction of sex show no differences in the career awareness of college students with DD. According to the results mentioned above, this study implies that the advanced education for college students with DD may be effective and that to accomplish successful vocational readiness for them need to consider vocational education programs development based on trait-factor theory and inclusion characteristics. This study also indicated a dire need for various career awareness programs development and suggested future directions for the career of college students with DD.
