주체사상과 선군사상의 상관관계 = The correlation between Juche and Songun idea

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The goal of this article is to analyze the correlation between Juche and Songun (Military-first) idea in light of replacement, coexistence, and subordinate discourse. Similar to the process of development of Juche idea, the Songun idea has developed from a simple concept into political ideology in North Korea. This, mainly differentiates the Songun idea from the other short-lived governance discourse theories. Although the Songun idea has developed and materialized from an simple idea, into an applied policies such as Songun-revolutionary leadership(1999). Songun-politics(2000), Songun idea(2003), and Nationwide education campaign of Songun idea(since 2004), it has not achieved the concrete status as Juche idea. In short, Songun will not develop into such degree of Juche idea because the basis of Songun idea lies in the principles of Juche ides, making it nothing more than a subordinate discourse of Juche idea. The Songun idea has continued to function as a practical ideology in despite of insufficiency logic in its structure and lack of distinctiveness because of its ubiquity, to the people of North Korea, the Songun idea effectively persuades people into its much needed participants. Looking at the correlation of Juche and Songun idea from such perspective, one cannot exclude the possibility in change of roles between Juche and Songun idea, Juche turning into a purely ideological form and Songun filling the role of practical ideology. If North Korea takes a such a route, it will purely be based on the decision of Kim Jong-Il and his heir Kim Jong-Un, since the privilege of interpreting and administrating such political ideology lies in the hands of Kim-Jong Il and his son.
