CoP(Community of Practice)에서 동기특성, 활동특성, 인구통계특성이 지식공유활동에 미치는 영향 = The Effects of Participation Motive, Activity Characteristics, and Demographic Characteristics on Knowledge Sharing Behaviors in CoPs

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

As the company’s competitiveness is deepening, the knowledge competitiveness is becoming an important competitive factor to the companies. Recently, beyond the terms of informal, the companies are drawn to company-leading type CoP to combine the organizational goal and the CoP’s purpose with a hope to provide a formal support. However, the official support of organization, that plans active knowledge sharing through CoP, has tendency to consider mainly organizational and social contexts, and many studies have conducted to suggest solutions on this problem. To stimulate knowledge sharing of CoP members, it needs to focus on the personal characteristics such as CoP members’ motivation, attitude/activity, and demographic characteristic. In this study, we have addressed personal characteristics with motivation, activity, and demographic factors which can affect knowledge sharing in CoPs. With the 171 survey responses of CoP members, this study validated whether these factors have effects on knowledge sharing behaviors. Also, we identified whether reward moderate the relationship between CoP activity characteristic and knowledge sharing behaviors.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

기업경쟁이 심화되어 감에 따라 기업에서 지식경쟁력을 높이기 위한 방안으로 CoP(Community of Practice)가 새로운 지식경영 수단으로 등장하였다. 지금까지의 CoP에 대한 많은 연구들은 주로 CoP를 통한 기업의성과향상여부와 조직적/사회적 관점에서의 활성화 방법에 초점을 맞추어 왔다. 그러나 CoP 구성원의 지식공유에 대한 활성화를 최대한 이끌어 내기 위해서는 조직적 차원 외에 개인차원 관점에서 구성원들의 동기특성, 활동특성, 인구통계 특성을 분석할 필요가 있다. 본 연구는 개인의 동기특성, CoP활동특성, 인구통계 특성들이 지식공유활동과의 관계에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지 살펴보았으며, CoP활동특성이 지식공유활동에 영향을 미치는 관계에서 보상의 조절효과를 파악하였다. 총 171명의 설문을 분석한 결과, 동기특성(즐거움, 호혜성), CoP활동특성(몰입), 인구통계특성(연령)이 지식공유활동에 유의한 영향을 끼치며, 보상에 따라 참여기간이 지식공유활동에 끼치는 영향이 달라짐을 알 수 있었다.
