The purpose of this study was to find the perception of child care teacher about early adjustment in child care. Subjects of this study were 203 child care teachers who were working at child care center in Seoul, Gyunggi-do, Chungcheong-do. The measuring instruments used for this study were the Questionaire developed by Park, Lee, Kim(1996) and The Preschool Adjustment Questionaire(PAQ) developed by Jewsuwan, Luster, Kostelink(1993). PAQ was rated by child care teacher doing acurrent early adjustment program in child care center, it was to Investigate the effect of early adjustment program in child care.
The results of this study were as follows. First, the present condition of early adjustment program enforcement in child care center was 71.3%. There was a notable difference between national and public child care center and private child care center. Second, the perception of child care teacher about early adjustment program necessity in child care was 96.5%, Third, the effect of a current early adjustment program in child care was more than average. Also, the perception of child care teacher about a new early adjustment program necessity in child care according to children attachment and temper was very high as 90.1%.
