다문화가정 청소년의 외모만족도 및 외모의식성이 학교적응성에 미치는 영향

국문 초록 (Abstract)

한국은 근래 다문화 사회로 접어들면서 다문화가정 청소년의 문제가 사회의 주요 이슈로 부각되기 시작하였다. 특히 외모에 민감한 청소년기에 이들은 외모의 차이로 인해 많은 스트레스와 집단따돌림의 문제를 겪고 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 다문화가정 청소년들의 외모의 차이를 극복하고 학교적응성을 높일 수 있는 실천적 방안을 모색하고자 외모만족도 및 외모의식성이 유행동조성을 매개로 학교적응성에 미치는 영향을 조사하였다. 설문지는 서울 및 경기권 소재 중학교에 재학 중인 다문화가정 청소년 140명을 대상으로 하였으며 최종적으로 120부를 분석에 사용하였다. 분석결과 외모만족도는 유행동조성을 매개하지 않고 직접 학교적응성에 정적인 영향을 주었다. 반면 외모의식성은 학교적응성에 직접적인 영향을 주지 않았으며 유행동조성을 매개로 간접적인 영향을 주었다. 즉 외모만족도가 높은 다문화가정 청소년은 학교적응성이 높았으며, 외모의식성이 높은 청소년은 유행동조성이 높기 때문에 학교적응성이 높다고 할 수 있다. 결론에서 다문화가정 청소년의 학교적응성을 높이기 위한 실천적 방안들을 제시하였다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study aims to identify the effect of appearance satisfaction and appearance consciousness on school adoption and to identify the mediating role of fashion conformity among the multicultural family adolescents. Survey questionnaires are developed and implemented to collect data for measuring appearance satisfaction, appearance consciousness, fashion conformity and school adoption. The respondents consist of one hundred and forty middle school students from multicultural family located in Seoul and Gyunggido area. One hundred and twenty responses are analyzed by factor analysis, path analysis and sobel test with SPSS18.0. The results show that appearance satisfaction has direct positive effect on school adoption. On the other hand appearance consciousness has indirect effect on school adoption with the mediating effect of fashion conformity. In conclusion, perceptions related to their own appearance has important influence on school adoption among the multicultural family adolescents. Implications for educating multicultural family adolescents was discussed on the basis of findings.
