    The growth of interests in educational use of the internet has expanded the strengths of conventional collaborative problem solving in terms of collaborative knowledge construction, multiple perspectives, shared goal and responsibilities. However, what a collaborative problem solving process leads to such problem solving performance has not been specified yet. For the reason, we examined the online collaborative problem solving process by using the sequential analysis and the transition state diagram. We found that: 1) orientation process was highly observed; 2) process pairs between problem analysis and criterion development (PA-CD), problem critique and criterion development (PC-CD), and orientation and orientation (OO-OO) were observed highly frequently; and 3) transitional probability and state diagram showed the online collaborative problem solving distingtively.
