인터넷을 활용한 가상수업에서의 교수-학습 활동 및 교육 효과 연구 -한국방송대학교 인터넷 가상수업 교과목 고전시가강독 사례를 중심으로- = A study on teaching-learning activities and educational effects in virtual classroom

The purpose of this study was to investigate teaching- learning activities, interaction between instructor and students, the role of course manager, and educational effects invirtual class room using internet. Virtual education is a new educational system that adopt computer and telecommunication technologies to organize, develop, manage, and administer learning. The ins tructor and students can interact synchronous ly or asynchronously by using computer conferencing system, rear audio, web chatting, electronic mail, bulletin board, on- line dis cus s ing lis ts, and can implement various types of teaching & learning activities in cyber space. In the virtual clas s room of this study, the instructor implemented teaching activities such as organizing learning contents, providing `` jus t- in- time`` feedback to learners, interacting with learners, monitoring learning process, and evaluating learning outcomes. In case of students, they performed learning activities such as reading the electroni cmaterial, and navigating hyperspace to find data that they want, discus sing with instructor or other students, and submitting report or assignment to instructor. Course manager carried out the role of information provider, and facilitator to accelerate and maintain learning motivation. As the educational implications and effects of virtual education, it was pointed out that learning through the high interactive & multi- way communication, formation of positive attitude concerning computer, internet, subject matter, and improvement of interest in learning were possible. According to the findings of this study, four future tasks were suggested for developing and implementing of virtual education program. 1) Selection and application of the platform for virtual education 2) Study on the strategies for on- line interaction improvement 3) Establishment of support system for instructor and students 4) Development of evaluation instruments for quality assurance in virtual education.
