청소년기 학업우수 남학생의 대학 재학 시 진로결정 영향요인 = Exploration of Factors Influencing the Career Decision Process of Male College Students with Academically Excellence at High School

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of the current research was to identify the factors considered in making career decisions by male college students who were academically excellence at high school and their conceptual structures toward the factors. Concept mapping which integrated qualitative and quantitative research methodology was used as a method of the research. Two stages were gone through for the analysis of concept mapping. At first stage, twelve academically excellent male college students were recruited and interviewed. Thus, sixty factors were extracted as being considered in career decision. At second stage, eleven participants except one were asked to classify and rate the extracted factors. Multidimensional scaling, hierarchical cluster analysis, and concept mapping were employed for the result. The research showed that the students understood the factors in seven clusters. They were also found to recognize the factors at two dimension; ‘Self-Evaluation Orientedness'/‘Others-Evaluation Orientedness' and ‘Personal-Psychological Conditions'/‘Occupational-Social Conditions.’ The clusters of 'Matching of Personal Traits and self confidence of ability' and 'Pursuit of Socioeconomic Status of and Approval on the Occupation' got higher scores and clusters of ‘Barriers in the Choice of a Job,' and 'Advice from Others, Offering of Information and Influence from Modelling' got lower scores from participants' evaluation. Lastly, the significance and limitations of the research findings were discussed.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구의 목적은 청소년기 때 학업우수자였던 남학생들이 대학 재학 시 진로결정을 할 때 고려하는 요인과 이 에 대한 인식차원을 밝히는 것이다. 연구방법으로는 질적인 방법과 양적인 방법이 통합된 개념도를 활용하였다. 개념도 분석을 위해 2단계 과정을 거쳤는데, 먼저 1단계로 12명의 청소년기 학업우수자였던 남자대학생을 연구 참여자로 선정하고 면접을 하여 진로결정 영향요인 60개를 추출하였다. 2단계로는 1명을 제외한 동일한 11명에 게 추출한 아이디어의 분류와 평정을 하게 했으며, 그 결과에 대해 다차원 척도법과 위계적 군집분석을 실시하 고 개념도 분석을 하였다. 연구 결과, 청소년기 학업우수자였던 남자대학생들은 진로결정시 고려하는 요인을 7 개의 군집으로 이해하고 있었다. 또한 ‘개인내적 평가지향-타인 평가지향’, ‘개인 심리적 조건-직업의 사회적 조 건’이라는 2가지 차원으로 요인을 인식하는 것으로 나타났다. 진로결정 영향요인에 대한 참여자들의 공감에 대 한 평정 점수는 ‘개인내적 특성과 매칭 및 자신에 대한 자신감’, ‘직업의 사회경제적 지위와 인정추구’ 군집이 가장 높게 나타났고, ‘직업선택상의 장벽’, ‘타인의 조언, 정보제공 및 모델링의 영향’은 낮게 나타났다. 이러한 연구 결과에 대한 의의와 제한점에 대해서 논의하였다.
